We have an excellent opportunity for an Order Picker in Grand Rapids, Michigan! If you thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment and have a knack for accuracy, this role is for you. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from our inventory to fulfill customer orders, forming a crucial link in our supply chain logistics. Your precision and efficiency will directly impact our customer satisfaction and operational throughput. You'll work as part of a dedicated team committed to excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves using order lists or scanning devices.
- Pack items carefully and securely for shipment.
- Stage orders in designated areas for outbound shipping.
- Operate manual and powered equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, order pickers) safely.
- Perform inventory checks and report any discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Achieve daily picking quotas while maintaining high accuracy standards.
Prior experience in an order picking or warehouse role is strongly preferred. Candidates must be capable of consistent Lifting of up to 50 pounds and comfortable working on their feet for extended periods. A robust understanding of warehouse Safety procedures is critical. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and accurately are essential. Experience with RF scanners and inventory management systems within a logistics context is a definite plus.
