We are looking for a motivated Warehouse Worker to become an integral part of our operations in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that keep our warehouse running smoothly, from receiving incoming shipments to preparing orders for outgoing delivery. This position is a key component of our logistics network, requiring attention to detail and a proactive approach. You will contribute to maintaining an efficient workflow, ensuring the accurate handling of inventory and supporting the overall success of our distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and verify incoming inventory.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies.
- Organize warehouse space for optimal accessibility and safety.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any issues.
- Follow all company guidelines for workplace Safety and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse cleaning and organization.
Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred. The ability to perform strenuous tasks, including frequent Lifting of items up to 60 pounds, is required. A strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and practices is essential. Candidates should possess good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Experience within the logistics industry is advantageous.
