Join our dynamic logistics team in Sacramento, California, as a skilled Forklift Operator. This role is essential for the efficient and safe operation of our warehouse, ensuring that materials and products are moved, stored, and shipped according to strict schedules. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory within the facility, and assist with order fulfillment. A thorough understanding of warehouse safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This position requires excellent spatial awareness, precision, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Your attention to detail will ensure accuracy in inventory management and minimize the risk of damage to goods. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move palletized goods and materials.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles and shipping containers.
- Transport inventory from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping docks.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by properly locating and moving stock.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and OSHA regulations, including consistent use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock adjustments.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational targets.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Qualifications:
- Current forklift certification and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts (e.g., reach, order picker, counter-balance).
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Must be able to work flexible hours if required.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety and efficiency in a logistics environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
