We are hiring an Order Picker to join our fast-paced warehouse operations in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will be crucial to ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will include accurately locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications, using scanning equipment to track inventory, and preparing items for packing and shipment. This position demands speed, accuracy, and a strong understanding of warehouse logistics. You will need to be comfortable working in a dynamic environment, navigating aisles, and handling a variety of products. Safety is a top priority; you must adhere to all company safety guidelines and wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to pick lists or scanner prompts.
- Verify product information to ensure accuracy of orders.
- Use RF scanners or other equipment to track inventory movements.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Meet established productivity goals for order picking.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product labels.
- Proficiency with RF scanning technology is preferred.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Familiarity with basic logistics and warehouse procedures.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
