Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to manage outbound shipments from our Richmond, Virginia facility. This role is essential for ensuring that all orders are accurately packed, labeled, and dispatched on time, contributing to the efficiency of our supply chain and Logistics network. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for coordinating with carriers, preparing shipping documentation, and maintaining accurate shipping records. You will be a key contact point for ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and correct deliveries. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and a meticulous approach to tasks are necessary. This position requires the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. You will also be involved in receiving incoming shipments and verifying their contents against purchase orders. Maintaining a safe working environment is a top priority, and all employees are expected to follow established Safety protocols. This role requires adherence to wearing PPE , such as safety vests and gloves, where applicable. Physical requirements include moderate Lifting and standing for extended periods. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation (bills of lading, invoices, etc.).
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Verify and pack orders accurately for shipment.
  • Label packages correctly with shipping information.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and update the system.
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents.
  • Inspect outgoing shipments for damage.
  • Communicate with other departments regarding shipment status.
  • Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
