Your primary responsibilities will include accurately checking in shipments, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and inspecting goods for damage. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our inventory is accurately recorded and available for distribution. This role requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to work efficiently, and a strong commitment to Safety. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately.
- Verify quantities and identify of goods against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Inspect incoming merchandise for damage and report any issues.
- Record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Stage received items for put-away by other warehouse personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving or clerical role preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks involving some Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
