We are looking for diligent Order Pickers to join our state-of-the-art warehouse in San Jose, California. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your primary focus will be on ensuring order accuracy and speed, contributing directly to our customer satisfaction and logistics operations. This role involves navigating the warehouse, using order lists or scanners, and carefully handling products to prevent damage. You will also be expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace, assist with inventory counts, and adhere to all company safety policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet performance targets is crucial. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, growing logistics team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on electronic or paper order lists.
- Use scanning equipment to track picked items and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Carefully handle products to prevent damage during the picking process.
- Stage picked items for the packing and shipping departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear and free of obstructions.
- Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed established productivity and accuracy standards.
- Collaborate with fellow team members and supervisors to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repetitively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with scanning technology is a plus.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
