Join our established logistics team in Detroit, Michigan, as a Shipping Clerk! We are seeking a meticulous and organized individual to manage the outbound shipping process efficiently and accurately. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, verifying shipment details, and ensuring that all outgoing orders are processed correctly and on time. This role is vital to our **Logistics** operations, ensuring that our products reach customers seamlessly. You will work closely with warehouse associates, including pickers and forklift operators, to confirm that all shipments are ready for dispatch. A strong commitment to **Safety** is essential, and you must adhere to all company protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse administration is highly desirable. You will be instrumental in maintaining our high standards for outbound **Logistics**. Key responsibilities include: generating and verifying shipping labels and manifests, scheduling carrier pickups, tracking shipments, communicating with customers and carriers regarding shipping status, inspecting outgoing orders for accuracy and damage, and maintaining organized shipping records. This role requires attention to detail in documentation and communication, and may involve some **Lifting** of packages.
