We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our warehouse team in Sacramento, California. This critical role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data, which is vital for efficient logistics and operational planning. You will conduct regular inventory audits, investigate discrepancies, implement stock control procedures, and ensure that our warehouse management system accurately reflects our physical stock. A commitment to precision, organization, and safety is essential. We maintain a secure and safe work environment, with strict adherence to all safety protocols and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Monitor stock levels and report on potential shortages or overages.
- Identify and tag damaged or obsolete inventory.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations teams to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
- Assist in optimizing warehouse layout for inventory efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics role.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
