Join our bustling warehouse as a Picker/Packer in Indianapolis, Indiana! We are looking for motivated individuals to accurately pick orders and prepare them for shipment. This role is fundamental to our supply chain, ensuring that customers receive their correct orders promptly and in excellent condition. You will be instrumental in maintaining the flow of goods and contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and process customer orders using scanning equipment.
- Pick items from warehouse shelves accurately and efficiently.
- Package orders securely for shipment, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages with shipping information and documentation.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure order accuracy and product integrity.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse area.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and guidelines, including the use of PPE.
- Assist in receiving and stocking inventory as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a picker, packer, or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using hand-held scanners and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE in a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with logistics and shipping processes is a plus.
Requirements:
This position involves regular lifting, bending, and repetitive motion. A strong commitment to workplace safety is essential. You will be expected to wear appropriate PPE at all times in designated areas. This role demands a high level of accuracy and efficiency to meet shipping deadlines. A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving are crucial. Experience in a logistics environment, particularly with picking and packing tasks, will be highly beneficial.
