We are looking for a reliable Material Handler to join our busy logistics center in Sacramento, California. This position is fundamental to the efficient operation of our warehouse, focusing on the movement and organization of materials. Your duties will include receiving inbound goods, stocking shelves, picking items for orders, and preparing them for shipment. You will work with a team to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure that our logistics processes run smoothly. Safety is paramount; you must strictly follow all established safety protocols and utilize mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role requires physical stamina, including frequent lifting and moving of heavy items, and proficiency with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Stock and organize inventory accurately in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick items for outbound orders according to specified instructions.
- Package and prepare items for shipment, ensuring proper labeling.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using pallet jacks, carts, and other equipment.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and warehouse.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use required PPE.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform frequent heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Good physical condition, able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
- Experience operating pallet jacks and other manual material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to strictly follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
