We are hiring a Shipping Clerk to manage outbound logistics in our San Antonio, Texas facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, verifying contents, ensuring proper packaging and labeling, and coordinating with carriers. This role is essential to our **Logistics** operations, ensuring products reach our customers accurately and on time. You will maintain shipping records, operate shipping equipment, and communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners. Attention to detail and adherence to **Safety** protocols are crucial.
Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments accurately.
- Verify shipment contents against order documentation.
- Package items securely for transit, ensuring protection from damage.
- Label all packages with correct shipping information and tracking numbers.
- Schedule and manage carrier pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate shipping logs and documentation.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and scanners.
- Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Follow all **Safety** guidelines and wear required PPE .
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping or logistics preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capability of performing tasks involving Lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse **Logistics**.
- Commitment to workplace Safety .
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
