Join our team as a Receiving Clerk in Nashville, Tennessee, and play a vital role in our supply chain operations. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming goods, ensuring they are processed accurately and efficiently. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy warehouse environment. You will be responsible for unloading delivery trucks, verifying shipment contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and properly documenting all received items. This is a critical function within our Logistics department, directly impacting inventory accuracy and operational flow. - Accepting and logging all inbound shipments.
- Comparing received goods against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspecting deliveries for any damage or shortages.
- Reporting discrepancies or damages to supervisors promptly.
- Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely (certification may be required or provided).
- Maintaining accurate receiving records in the warehouse management system.
- Organizing and staging received goods for efficient put-away.
- Ensuring compliance with all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Proper use of required PPE , including safety vests and gloves.
- Ability to assist with Lifting of packages up to 40 lbs.
