We are looking for a skilled Warehouse Technician to maintain and improve our warehouse infrastructure and equipment in San Diego, California. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our distribution center. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of warehouse machinery, including conveyor systems, forklifts, automated storage and retrieval systems, and other specialized equipment. A strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems is crucial. Your proactive approach to maintenance will minimize downtime and ensure the **Safety** of our team members. This position requires attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to best practices in warehouse **Logistics**. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all warehouse equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently, complying with industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
- Operate equipment safely when necessary for repair or testing.
- Follow **Safety** procedures and wear appropriate **PPE**.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems.
- Contribute to the optimization of warehouse **Logistics** through equipment upkeep.
- Participate in **Lifting** and moving of parts and equipment as needed for maintenance.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanics or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of various warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Commitment to **Safety** and experience with **PPE**.
- Physical ability to perform required tasks, including occasional **Lifting** up to 70 lbs.
- Understanding of **Logistics** operations is a plus.
