Join our growing logistics team as a Receiving Clerk in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This position is fundamental to our inventory management process, ensuring that all incoming goods are accurately received, documented, and stored. You will be responsible for meticulously checking deliveries, identifying discrepancies, and maintaining organized records. A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to workplace safety are paramount. The Receiving Clerk will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to facilitate the smooth flow of goods through our facility. Key responsibilities include: Accepting and unloading deliveries from various carriers; Verifying received items against purchase orders and packing lists; Inspecting products for any damage or defects; Accurately documenting all incoming inventory and updating the warehouse management system; Storing received items in their designated locations efficiently; Communicating any receiving discrepancies or issues to the appropriate personnel; Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized receiving area; Following all established safety protocols and company procedures, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE); Operating material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, as needed. This role requires the ability to perform regular lifting, stand for long durations, and work effectively in a dynamic environment. Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is beneficial. We are looking for a dedicated individual who can contribute to our team's success through diligence and a proactive approach to their tasks. Your role is vital to maintaining the integrity of our supply chain.
