Your responsibilities will encompass receiving, storing, picking, packing, and preparing materials for shipment. Familiarity with warehouse equipment like pallet jacks and hand trucks is advantageous. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Sort and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately pick items from inventory to fulfill orders.
- Pack and prepare materials for shipment, ensuring proper protection.
- Load and unload materials onto and from trucks and other vehicles.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts if certified).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Wear all required PPE at all times while performing duties.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as directed.
- Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse efficiently.
- Ensure the proper handling and storage of all goods to prevent damage.
- Report any damages, shortages, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve team goals.
- Participate in regular warehouse safety training and meetings.
- Support the overall logistics operations and workflow.
- Contribute to a positive and productive workplace culture.
- Perform other material handling tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of basic warehouse safety principles and practices.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow all safety guidelines diligently.
- Capability of lifting and moving items up to 45 lbs.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations is a plus.
