Join our dynamic logistics team in Salt Lake City, Utah, as an Order Picker. In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your duties will include reading order lists, locating products, and preparing them for packing and shipment. We are committed to a safe working environment, and all necessary PPE will be provided; adherence to safety guidelines is paramount. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works well under pressure, and possesses the physical stamina required for warehouse operations. Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable. You'll be a crucial part of our supply chain, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. Regular lifting of items up to 30 lbs is expected. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on order specifications using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Locate items efficiently within the warehouse.
- Verify picked items for accuracy and quality.
- Pack orders carefully to prevent damage during transit.
- Stage picked orders for the packing and shipping departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and warehouse.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Wear all required PPE at all times.
- Meet or exceed established picking productivity and accuracy goals.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or product damage immediately.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment as needed.
- Participate in warehouse safety training and team meetings.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics operations.
- Ensure proper handling of all inventory items.
- Support a culture of safety and teamwork.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and order details accurately.
- Experience using RF scanning equipment and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow safety protocols.
- Capability of lifting and moving items up to 30 lbs.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations is beneficial.
