Regular lifting and moving of packages, some of which may be heavy, will be part of your daily routine. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order tickets.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Pack products securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Apply shipping labels and ensure all order information is correct.
- Operate manual and electric pallet jacks (training provided if needed).
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Report any damaged goods or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Meet established picking and packing performance metrics.
- Assist with receiving and put-away tasks as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics operations.
- Manage inventory within your assigned picking zone.
- Ensure proper handling of all products to prevent damage.
- Perform quality checks on outgoing shipments.
- Support a culture of safety and operational excellence.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
- Handle returns and restock items as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or general warehouse work is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret order tickets accurately.
- Basic math skills for inventory checks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow safety procedures.
- Capability of lifting and moving packages up to 50 lbs.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles is beneficial.
