We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our facility. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, stock, and retrieve inventory, ensuring accuracy and preventing damage. Safety is paramount in this role, requiring strict adherence to operating procedures and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist in receiving and shipping operations, ensuring timely movement of goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by properly locating and moving stock.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper Lifting techniques.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding the use of PPE and warehouse operations.
- Contribute to a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Work collaboratively with other team members and supervisors to ensure efficient logistics.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or operational inefficiencies.
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory checks as needed.
- Operate other warehouse equipment as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and good physical condition.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Understanding of logistics principles.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
