We have an exciting opportunity for a Picker/Packer in our Des Moines, Iowa facility. This role is essential for ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently assembled and prepared for shipment. As a Picker/Packer, you will be directly involved in the core of our logistics operations, retrieving items from our inventory and packaging them with care. Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve ordered items from designated warehouse locations.
- Verify item details, quantities, and quality before packing.
- Securely package items for shipping, using appropriate materials to prevent damage.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as RF scanners and pallet jacks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and work area.
- Follow all established safety procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Meet productivity goals while ensuring a high level of order accuracy.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role is beneficial.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 45 lbs.
- Familiarity with basic logistics and warehouse procedures.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
