We have an immediate opening for a skilled Forklift Operator in Salt Lake City, Utah! This position is crucial for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely transporting materials, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing inventory. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments with efficiency and care.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas, ensuring timely delivery.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper handling and scanning of goods.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse Safety rules and regulations, including maintaining clear aisles and safe operating practices.
- Follow all company policies related to material handling, including appropriate Lifting techniques and load securement.
- Wear and maintain all required PPE throughout the shift.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Previous experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently in a busy environment.
- Capability to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and logistics operations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial judgment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Commitment to upholding a safe work environment for yourself and others.
This role is integral to our supply chain operations, ensuring goods are handled properly and efficiently.
