We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk for our Los Angeles, California facility. This role is critical to managing the inflow of goods into our warehouse. You will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming shipments, ensuring they match purchase orders and are free from damage. A thorough understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to Safety are essential. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing logistics network and contribute to the efficiency of our supply chain. You will be working with a dedicated team focused on accuracy and timely processing of goods. Your role supports the entire flow of products through the distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Receive all incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspect goods for damage or defects, and report any issues promptly.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label received goods for proper storage and identification.
- Stage received items for internal distribution or put-away by other warehouse staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Coordinate with vendors and shipping companies regarding delivery schedules and discrepancies.
- Handle tasks involving Lifting of items up to 60 lbs.
- Support overall logistics operations by ensuring timely and accurate receiving.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management software is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, bending, and Lifting.
- Understanding of workplace Safety and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Must wear designated PPE as required.
