Job Description

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Audit and Issues Management  to lead and oversee the audit function, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role will manage the identification, assessment, and resolution of audit issues, driving continuous improvement across the organization.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Lead and manage the audit function, ensuring alignment with RBC's strategic objectives and regulatory standards.

  • Develop and implement audit plans, methodologies, and frameworks to identify risks and control gaps.

  • Oversee the tracking, analysis, and resolution of audit issues, ensuring timely and effective remediation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Risk Management, Compliance, and Operations, to address audit findings and implement corrective actions.

  • Prepare and present audit reports to senior leadership, providing actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Mentor team members and colleagues on risk management, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in audit and issues management.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA) preferred.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in audit, risk management, or compliance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of financial services regulations and audit standards.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-have: 

  • Previous experience in 2LOD or 3LOD
