The infrastructure administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of Pelmorex's IT Infrastructure to standardize, modernize, and automate infrastructure management, providing strategic coordination as well as tactical governance. The role involves designing solutions in line with the organization's strategic goals and technology roadmap, working collaboratively with other administrators and the technical leads
Please note we are only considering candidates who are eligible to work in Canada and are currently located in the Greater Toronto Area. WHAT IS THE DAY TO DAY LOOK LIKE
  • Design and implementation of Pelmorex infrastructure core systems (k8, VMs, Clusters, CICD, Cloud environment), including Network security, automation, and monitoring
  • Provide technical advice or technical leadership where required to support various IT-related projects
  • Design Infrastructure solutions for high availability, scalability, resiliency, integrity, and security;
  • Review existing systems & platforms and recommend changes and improvements to take advantage of best-of-breed technology solutions;
  • Research and keep abreast of emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to ensure technology sustainability;
  • Quality assurance and documentation of the Pelmorex infrastructure architecture;
  • Document and hand over systems and processes to the IT Operations team for support.
  • Act as a 3rd level support escalation.
  • Ensure that IT Infrastructure systems meet, and endeavor to exceed, the agreed Service Levels;
  • Be proactive in looking for opportunities on how IT can improve its Service Delivery.
  • Projects delivered on time, on budget, and to required quality (stakeholder expectations); Provide after-hours support when and if required.
  • Other duties as reasonably required.

  • Required to work outside business hours and weekends if / when required. Responsibilities and duties may evolve and change over time. WE ARE HOPING YOU HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as information technology, computer science, or management information systems 5 Years of experience working in a 24/7 IT environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct experience with Docker, Kubernetes cluster design, implementation, and management on the following infrastructures (Cloudstack, Proxmox, as well as EKS, GKE, AKS)Excellent knowledge in cloud computing, GCP, AWS, Azure, Cloudstack, and Proxmox, AI (Machine learning)
  • Excellent knowledge of managing Kubernetes infrastructure.
  • Experience in Complex IT Environments (Network, Systems, and Storage)
  • Excellent technical skills (Linux & Windows, Scripting, Terraform, automation)
  • Excellent Problem-solving skills Familiarity with systems monitoring, log aggregation, and dashboard solutions (e.g., ELK, Splunk, Prometheus)Experience with DevOps tools and culture
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and attention to detail when communicating
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and consistently produce results within timelines
  • Able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with other members
  • Proven track record of developing and providing Service Level Agreements and Service deliverables
