Contract (March 30, 2026, to approximately February 6, 2027)
35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
$26.33 per hour + 6% in lieu of vacation

The Role: This entry level position works on-site and contributes to the mission of Community Support Connections by providing support to the Finance and Administration Teams. This includes accounts payables, payroll and month-end activities.
The Bookkeeper works collaboratively with the Financial Controller and Accounts Receivable, and thrives in a face-paced, dynamic, hands-on environment. They have a passion for helping our community and are excited to be part of a growing and innovative organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accounts payable – completes all activities related to processing accounts payable, including entering vendor invoices, processing payments via cheque, EFT or online payments
- Visa Reconciliations
- Bank Reconciliations
- Processes employee and volunteer expense reports
- Payroll – performs all activities related to payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time in compliance with relevant legislation and agency policies
- Prepares remittances such as WSIB, RRSPs, CRA, EHT per the legislated schedule
- Ensures staff terminations are processed in the payroll software in a timely manner and prepares and submits a Record of Employment (ROE) to Service Canada
- Assists with T4's as directed by the Financial Controller
- Responds to inquiries from staff regarding payroll, vacation, sick time, lieu banks, payroll deductions and tax deductions
- Assists in month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments and monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
- Assists in the annual audit
- Provides back up for accounts receivable/billing
Education and Experience
- Post-secondary diploma/degree in accounting preferred
- Minimum 1 years' hands on accounting experience
- Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel and Word
- Detail oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledge of the non-profit/charitable sector is an asset
- Experience working with NetSuite is asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Willing and able to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Extensive computer use
- Occasional working from home office
