Fabricator

Our client, Waycon Manufacturing Ltd., based in Penticton, BC, is a leading industrial equipment and machinery manufacturer serving clients across North America. Known for delivering high-quality, custom-built solutions, they support a wide range of industries from a two-acre facility equipped with advanced in-house machinery, state-of-the-art tooling, and cutting-edge engineering technology. Their capabilities span concept design, CNC machining, fabrication, welding, painting, assembly, and testing.

They are seeking a skilled Fabricator Journeyman to join their team. In this key role, you will fabricate high-precision components and assemblies in steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, taking projects from blueprint to final product. This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and a dedication to producing high-quality, safe workmanship. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Expertly fabricate components and assemblies in accordance with technical specifications and blueprints, utilizing advanced fabrication techniques;
  
• Perform rigorous quality inspections to ensure all products meet stringent safety and quality standards;
  
• Collaborate closely with team members to achieve manufacturing goals and enhance production efficiency;
  
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment;
  
• Support complex, custom projects that demand creativity, precision, and problem-solving.
  

• Red Seal Journeyman Fabricator (required);
  
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on metal fabrication experience;
  
• Strong proficiency in MIG/TIG welding and other relevant fabrication techniques;
  
• Excellent blueprint reading skills and ability to interpret complex technical drawings;
  
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards;
  
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or collaboratively within a team;
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness in a fast-paced environment.
