Indian Cook

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Indian cuisine Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and a commitment to providing high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to our standards of excellence and food safety.

Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of east indian meals according to established recipes and menus.
• Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
• Assist in the planning of menus and meal preparation schedules.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Help train new kitchen staff on food handling techniques and safety protocols.
• Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, feedback, and improvements.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of food handling, safety practices, and sanitation standards is essential.
• Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that satisfy customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Required Qualifications:
• • Food preparation and cooking skills - Food service experience - Food handling expertise - Restaurant experience preferred - Strong understanding of food safety protocols - Excellent communication skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment - Knowledge of meal preparation techniques - Prior kitchen experience is a plus - Premium skill in serving is advantageous

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
