Location: Vancouver, BC near Granville Island (Serving all of British Columbia)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary Range: $75,000 – $95,000 per year (depending on experience)

The Year: 2026 — Our year to create "space and fun."

About Cascadia

Cascadia Shading Design Ltd. is a premier Architectural Shading Products company. Our work is as diverse as the BC landscape—we supply and install manual and motorized shading systems for everything from private homeowners and art galleries to hospitals and entire commercial towers.

We pride ourselves on a very positive company culture. We are a tight-knit team with a shared goal: providing the best experience possible for our clients and having fun while we do it.

The 2026 Mission

Our motto this year is to recover the "space and fun" in our work. We've realized that to support our Field and Project Management teams effectively, we need a dedicated Operations Manager that brings energy to the team and who ensures our systems are smooth so the team has the breathing room to do their best work.

The Role: Our Operational " Air Traffic" Controller You are the high-level "eye in the sky." You aren't just moving pieces on a board; you are ensuring the "runways" (job sites) are clear and that our "pilots" (Field Teams) have exactly what they need for a perfect landing. Your goal is to be a Force Multiplier: by streamlining the schedule and logistics, you empower the rest of the team to focus on what they do best, effectively recovering the "space and fun" we've been missing.

  1. Field Resource & Master Scheduling (50%)

You are the heartbeat of our daily operations. You ensure our promises to clients align with our team's actual capacity.

  • Master Schedule Ownership: Own the end-to-end installation and project calendar for our diverse portfolio (Residential to Commercial).
  • Field Deployment: Manage the daily movement of our field teams across BC, ensuring they have the tools, information, and "space" needed for perfect execution.
  • Logistics: Manage supplier logistics and material flow so our Project Managers can focus on results rather than chasing shipments.

  • Strategic Leadership & Systems (50%)

  • Process Optimization: Refine our 2026 tech stack to eliminate friction and "busy work."

  • Supplier Relations: Maintain high-level relationships with our suppliers to ensure Cascadia remains a priority partner.
  • Cultural Stewardship: Work with the Director to ensure our "Space and Fun" motto is reflected in every workflow.

Who You Are

  • The Calm Orchestrator: You have a high "Operational IQ" and stay steady when site conditions or project timelines shift.
  • Experience: Significant experience in field crew management or complex project logistics (ideally in high-end construction or architectural design or also Film production, and event planning).
  • Tech-Savvy: You lean into modern ERP and scheduling tools to find efficiencies as well use Ai tools.
  • Team-First: You understand that a perfect schedule is the best way to protect team morale. Also that processes are necessary but they are there to support the end objectives, they are not the end objective themselves.

This role is NOT for you if:

  • You find change or shifting schedules frustrating or stressful.
  • You prefer to work in a silo and don't enjoy direct, frequent communication with field teams.
  • You are "tech-resistant" and prefer paper logs or basic spreadsheets over integrated ERP systems.
  • You are a "micro-manager." We are looking for an orchestrator who empowers the team, not someone who stifles their "space."

Benefits & Environment

  • Culture: A relaxed, positive environment with a casual dress code.
  • Health: Extended health and dental care options (available after a 3 months trial period).
  • Rewards: Annual performance-and profit based bonuses.
  • Tools: Office runs on Apple Mac OS platform, Google Business Suite and Custom Monday Project Management Software Platform. Also we are making a big push this year into utilizing the Gemini Ai business tools to leverage the team's capabilities.

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, Day Shift.
  • Requires occasional after-hours check-ins to ensure field teams are supported.

How to Apply (Please follow closely): To show us you have the attention to detail required for an Air Traffic Controller, please:

  1. Use the subject line: "2026 Force Multiplier: (Your Name)"
  2. In your cover note, briefly tell us about one specific time when a project went sideways and you successfully adjusted to save the day. Work or personal
