£50,000 - £65,000 + Benefits and Bonus SC clearance required to start Applicants must be a sole British national due to the nature of the work being within National Security As a Data Engineer you will design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and data architectures that enable reliable analytics, reporting, and decision-making across complex environments. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand real-world data challenges, transform raw and unstructured data into meaningful insights, and apply distributed compute techniques to manage large-scale, high-volume datasets across batch, streaming, and real-time platforms. Key responsibilities
Develop and maintain data ingestion pipelines and orchestration workflows Design database schemas and data models Integrate and enrich data from multiple sources, ensuring consistency and quality Design and implement ETL/ELT processes (e.g., using Apache NiFi) Produce reusable, maintainable code with a test-driven approach Maintain and enhance existing data platforms and services Investigate and resolve operational issues across integrated datasets Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information Support Agile delivery, ...
