Overview
First of all; who are we and why do we exist? addmustard is an award-winning brand, marketing and technology agency for entrepreneurs. We add the strategic and creative fire-power of an advertising agency, to the precision and incision of a digital marketing agency, to grow the value of our clients’ businesses. We are a team of 35 brilliant brand, marketing and technology experts: a core in-house team based in the United Kingdom: Soho, London and Brighton, Sussex. Supported by a network of specialists from around the world. We exist to grow the value of our clients’ businesses - and we take that responsibility seriously. And who exactly are we looking for? Our brand and culture is bold, precise, energetic and irreverent. You’ll need to be all four, too. And because our clients are entrepreneurial, you need to have - or be hungry to develop - an instinctive understanding of the unique challenges and speed of working with fast-growing businesses and the people behind them. You’ll thrive here if you’re curious by nature, confident in your craft, and motivated by solving real user problems in fast-moving, entrepreneurial environments. You’ll need to be obsessed with user experience. Caring deeply about how people think, behave and make decisions - and know how to translate insight into intuitive, beautifully crafted digital experiences. You’ll bring around 4+ years’ experience in UX design, ideally within a fast-paced agency environment (or through strong freelance work alongside agencies). Most importantly, you’ll have a portfolio that clearly demonstrates your UX-led thinking, problem-solving process, and experience designing across web and mobile applications. Our clients are ambitious, high-growth brands. You’ll need to quickly understand new products and immerse yourself in unfamiliar sectors to turn complexity into clarity (without compromising on quality or pace). What will you be responsible for?
Working closely with addmustard’s design, performance and technology teams you will contribute across a wide range of client projects, including: Identifying UX issues, friction points and optimisation opportunities across client websites and digital products Developing a strong understanding of users through research, competitor analysis and market insight Gathering and evaluating user requirements in collaboration with product managers and developers Interpreting UX briefs and translating them into clear wireframes, user flows and prototypes Visualising CRO hypotheses and supporting experimentation across multiple client websites Producing UX documentation, journeys and rationale that clearly communicate thinking and intent Supporting the preparation of client presentations and insight-led reports Contributing to wider creative projects, helping ideas and concepts reach their full potential You’ll be expected to think critically, challenge assumptions, and always ask: is this the best possible experience for the user? What experience and skills do you need?
Exceptional creative flair and passion for beautiful interface design. An original and innovative mind, always searching for a better way to communicate, inspire and delight. Deep understanding of user experience and user interface design: always questioning the best ways for customers and users to interact and digest content. Ability to illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps. Ability to develop UI mock-ups, wireframes and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites look and function. Strong working knowledge of Figma and modern prototyping tools An understanding of testing techniques (multi-variant, A/B etc) and basic experience using testing tools such as VWO, Mida or similar Keen interest and knowledge of UX principles and UI advancements Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, multi-task, work at pace and to tight deadlines. What’s in it for you?
In return for your commitment, creativity and incredible mind, you can expect: To work across a diverse range of fascinating clients, each with unique problems that we can solve. To deliver value increases in our clients businesses that you can be proud of by helping entrepreneurs, their teams and families to realise their dreams and goals. To work alongside and be trained by industry experts at the forefront of brand, marketing and technology. Our senior management is accessible, open, honest and transparent. This means we all care about you and your development, progression, success and happiness. Full visibility of agency performance - we share financial, team and client results openly Flexi time: flexible working hours and hybrid working structure, sharing your time between working from home and our offices in eclectic Soho and Brighton’s Laines. Be part of an amazing, sociable and supportive team with far too frequent socials. An (over)active social life: regular lunches, dinners, ad-hoc team events and now and then, holidays. Please note: this is a role where you will be required to be in the Brighton office at least 3 days a week. If you plan to negotiate this, then we suggest you hold off on applying for this role.
