We are looking for a
Senior Design Manager
to join our Building team based from our Moorgate office and central London projects.
Our Building Operating Unit in London is at the forefront of delivering high‑profile, complex projects across the commercial sector. As a Senior Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing the design process from concept through to completion on a major building project.
What you'll do:
Lead and manage the project execution plan (design) and design management plan for the project
Lead the design management function for the project or activity and coordinate the design requirements of the Client’s team, the consultant design team, Skanska and the sub‑contractors
Reporting into the project leadership team, manage the completion of design related elements for the client monthly report and internal governance
Work with the project leadership team to deliver against design control and project governance requirements
Chair Design Team meetings with the client, consultants and/or sub‑contractors
What you'll bring to the role:
Bachelors’ degrees in Architecture/ Engineering or a design related field
Experience in senior leadership role or leading design teams
Experience of delivering construction projects(£50m-£200m+) commercial office projects working through bid, PCSA and delivery stages, and successfully converting and delivering on quality, time and to budget.
Experience of working with a broad range of stakeholders, including functional experts, senior stakeholders, technical leads
