Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our retail pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will support pharmacy operations by preparing and dispensing medications, assisting with patient care, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Pharmacy Technician will play a vital role in ensuring accurate medication administration and maintaining high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately according to prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
• Assist pharmacists with medication intake, inventory management, and documentation
• Support patient service activities, including answering questions related to medications and procedures
• Maintain compliance with safety standards, including medication storage and handling procedures
• Perform medication reconciliation and ensure proper labeling and documentation
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care outcomes
• Adhere to medical terminology standards and pharmacy regulations during all tasks

Experience

• Prior pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Critical care experience is highly desirable for supporting complex medication needs
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and aseptic technique required
• Proven ability to handle intake processes efficiently while maintaining accuracy in documentation
• Certification as a pharmacy technician is preferred but not mandatory depending on state requirements
