8 hours/day 
Monday- Friday  9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Previous custodial and routine maintenance experience, preferred
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently.
• Must be physically qualified to perform assigned duties including lifting up to 50lbs on a regular basis and display flexibility in cleaning assignments.
• Ability to communicate in a clear, positive manner with staff, students and the public.
• Must have a desire to work in a cooperative manner and team environment.
• Must have a good attendance record and be punctual.
• Must have positive work performance evaluations. Must not have any recent disciplinary actions.
• Must conduct a positive interview and receive a good reference from current and previous supervisors.
• Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean building areas and perform minor repairs, routine maintenance and preventive maintenance as directed or required.
• Perform grounds maintenance, pick up trash, mow, pull/spray weeds, snow removal, etc.
• Comply with school recycling program.
• Move and assemble furniture, etc.
• Perform duties in a timely, neat, and efficient manner.
• Assist in securing the building during and at the end of shift.
• Ability to adjust hours to accommodate early or late programs, snow removal, etc.
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Responsible To: Building Engineer
Compensation / Benefits: 
According to contractual agreement (based on contract)
Custodian:  $ Hourly
