Banquet Captain

In addition to hourly rate, Banquet Captain recieves percentage of service charge.
Service Charge: $30,000 - $45,000 annually.

Banquet Captain
.

What will you be doing most days?

• Oversee catered functions in the
• Responsible for the overall sanitation and cleanliness of the work areas, banquet rooms, and storage areas
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer needs are met
• Provide unique and creative ideas to enhance meetings & group experience
• Guide the Banquet servers in set up of tables and place setting
• Be familiar with all current and upcoming events and their details
• Resolve staff and customer concerns quickly and efficiently
• Co-ordinate effectively with the kitchen and housekeeping department
• Support the scheduling of banquet staff, prepare weekly duty chart to correspond with banquet functions, and manage the labor for an efficient running of operations
• Assist and support the hotel to provide excellent guest service
• Organize transportation of food and equipment to offsite catering events
• Responsible for ensuring sufficient operating guest supplies, beverage supplies, and operating equipment for functions assigned.
• Oversee the Banquet Team for an efficient running of events

• You are neat, organized, and efficient
• You have the ability to work well with others in a guest and team-focused environment
• You have the perseverance to complete work efficiently with attention to quality and detail
• You can deliver a clean, organized, and refreshed hotel banquet area
• You have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Physical Requirements For This Position
This can be a physically demanding position. You must be comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods of time.

Travel Requirements
This position may require some travel.

Pay Scale: $13.66- $17.66/hour
