Duties

• Educate customers on differences between models, components, and technologies to support confident purchasing decisions.
• Provide consultative, experience-based guidance by translating bike and product knowledge into clear recommendations that help customers choose the right bikes, accessories, and services.
• Assist with merchandising displays, stock replenishment, and maintaining an organized sales floor.
• Process sales transactions efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems, handling cash and credit payments with accuracy.
• Upsell complementary products such as helmets, locks, lights, and maintenance services to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Educate customers on bike maintenance, safety tips, and proper fit to ensure a positive riding experience.
• Follow up on leads, quotes, and test rides
• Support the service counter and online orders

Requirements

• Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in a grocery store or outdoor sporting goods environment.
• Cycling enthusiasts or active riders are a plus — but not required
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product features clearly and confidently.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
• Familiarity with POS systems (Ascend), cashiering procedures, and basic retail math for accurate transactions.
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally over the phone.
• Demonstrated ability to upsell products while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stock management practices.
