Position Purpose:

The Technical Project Manager will develop, manage and execute EVOLOH's projects, interfacing with both the internal team and external customers. This role will be focused on executing customer contracts and be the primary point of contact for customers. Internal project management may also be required. This role will ensure projects are executed on time, within scope and within budget. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, exhibit proactive communication of information, and the ability to foresee obstacles before they become an issue. Additionally, they will have a strong understanding of relevant technology.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for executing customer contracts, and the delivery of EVOLOH's products to customers. The Technical Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for customers.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource allocations.
  • Fully understand customer contracts and ensure EVOLOH executes the project according to contract terms.
  • Responsible for reviewing contractual adjustments and change orders, coordinating internal communication and approval of changes, as necessary.
  • Act as the primary liaison between engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating technical details into understandable actions and updates.
  • Review engineering designs, specifications, and implementation plans for feasibility and alignment with project requirements.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for permitting, certification, insurance approvals, etc. for site installation and commissioning.

  • Project Execution - Development and communication of project plans, management of resources and deliverables, escalation of issues as necessary and appropriate
  • Decision Making - Efficient decision making to drive project progress, with data-driven decisions and open-minded problem solving
  • Customer/Partner Interaction - Successful stack/module delivery, integration support, and technical guidance for customers
  • Commercial Projects - Successful deployment and operations of commercial projects
  • Internal Projects - Occasional project plan support for internal engineering projects

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (required)
  • Master's degree in engineering, Project Management, MBA or related discipline (preferred)
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or other project management certification (preferred)

Work Experience

  • 7-10 years of experience in engineering, technical program management or project leadership roles

Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to drive progress and decision-making
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to manage complex projects with multiple cross-functional teams, lengthy timelines with many interdependencies
  • Leadership experience (direct or indirect) managing small teams
  • Self-starter, eager to take the initiative and solve tough problems.
  • Fluency in the English language

Essential Job Functions:

With or without reasonable accommodation, the Technical Project Manager must be able to:

  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Move around various facilities, climb ladders, bend down, and reach overhead

Working Conditions:

  • Warehouse, office environment (typical)
  • Various site locations for customer engagement with occasional outdoor exposure
  • Safety attire and protective gear are required
  • May be exposed to chemical fumes, gases, electrical hazards, and loud sounds at distracting levels
  • Work involves the operation of test equipment and systems under various conditions including high pressure and high voltage

Travel Requirements:

Up to 40% of domestic and international travel, including overnight, may be required.
