Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a real-time electronic trading platform used by financial institutions such as banks, brokers, exchanges, and asset managers.

This role is highly client-facing and technical in nature. The Business Analyst will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, supporting the full software delivery lifecycle—from requirements gathering through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and document business and system requirements for a trading platform
• Develop project deliverables including:
• Business Requirements Documents (BRD)
• Functional and Non-Functional Requirements
• Current and future-state process flows
• Use cases, test strategies, test plans, test cases, release notes, and user guides
• Facilitate and lead meetings with clients, developers, architects, QA, and internal stakeholders
• Support planning, implementation, and functional testing activities
• Investigate system logs and database records to support issue resolution
• Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure requirements are correctly implemented and tested
• Assist QA with validation and testing activities as needed
• Support clients throughout the full project lifecycle, including go-live and production support
• Participate in on-call production support when required
• Ensure all work aligns with internal policies, quality standards, and client expectations
• Provide clear communication and escalation during incidents and business-as-usual operations
• Contribute to product direction by understanding technical challenges and industry trends

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role
• Experience working on software development or implementation projects
• Hands-on experience writing SQL queries and scripts
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and stakeholder expectations
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and priorities

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of FX trading workflows and post-trade settlement processes
• Experience with FIX protocol or other financial messaging standards
• Experience integrating systems, including data analysis and data mapping
• Exposure to liquidity providers and electronic trade execution
• Strong project management and planning skills
