General Summary: The Business Partner is a cross-functional leader responsible for improving operational performance, driving process discipline, and strengthening data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Financial & Operational Visibility
- Provide operational insight for forecasting, budgeting, and weekly performance reviews.
- Monitor cost drivers including labor, materials, logistics, project performance, and overhead allocation.
- Support the accounting team on inventory valuation, cost of goods sold, and job costing methodology.
- Review spending patterns and support leadership in cost-control initiatives.
- Lead special projects such as plant/line expansions, new equipment ROI evaluations, and operational readiness plans
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with leadership to optimize vendor spend, inventory turns, and supply chain flow.
- Partner with IT to enhance ERP functionality, reporting dashboards, and automation opportunities.
- Collaborate with HR on labor planning, staffing levels, and productivity reporting.
- Act as the operational "translator" between field/plant operations and the finance/accounting teams.
Operational Leadership
- Improve workflows across operations, inventory, procurement, job costing, and project execution.
- Develop standardized operating procedures (SOPs) to reduce errors and increase efficiency.
- Partner with plant/field operations to track daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs
- Identify and implement continuous-improvement solutions and drive corrective action plans.
- Improve data capture from the floor/field, ensuring clean, timely operational metrics.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
- 5–10 years of experience in operations, manufacturing, or operations finance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data.
- Experience with ERP systems, operational dashboards, and KPI development.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence without authority.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products; strong Excel skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Pay: $110, $140,000.00 per year
