Restaurant Host

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional customer service in a vibrant restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
• Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize flow and efficiency.
• Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assisting guests with inquiries and reservations.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure timely service.
• Assist in managing the waitlist during busy periods, providing updates to guests as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
• Help resolve any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.

Experience

• Previous experience in a restaurant
• Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, square system is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both guests and team members.
