JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Technician assists the Quality Department in providing support and guidance to all other departments at NA-LX to ensure customer satisfaction, compliance with ISO14001/ISO9001. IATF16949 with a commitment to continual improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and/or RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs receiving audits/dock audits on products and raw materials as determined by customer concerns and randomly
- Performs process audits of the processes with our organization as requested
- Responsible for ensuring that FIFO and 5S are being followed
- Executes daily in process inspections to ensure correct dimensions, material tolerance and overall quality of the part as necessary
- Responsible for sorting nonconforming product and reporting results to the Quality Specialist or the Manager, Quality
- Tracks daily scrap for all contained parts and submits reports to the Quality Specialist/Manager, Quality
- Recommends additional sorting temporary staff and provides training
- Reports any nonconformance immediately to the Quality Specialist/Manager, Quality
- Documents and submits any discrepancies to the Quality Specialist/Manager, Quality
- Assist Quality Specialist with trial part shipment preparation as necessary
- Completes packaging, labeling and ensuring data is with the trial shipment as necessary
- Performs audits and inspections according to the procedures
- Contributes to internal and external system audits as needed.

MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required:
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required, along with 1-2 years of manufacturing experience.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- None
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:
- The Quality Technician must be able to operate; Hand jacks, scales and measuring equipment, office equipment.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
· Proficiency in Office 365 or related software required.
· RF Scanners
· JDE
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Maintain a valid driver's license
