Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Compounding Pharmacy Technician Manager to lead our pharmacy team in delivering exceptional patient care and medication management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pharmacy operations, with expertise in compounding, medication administration. As the manager, you will oversee daily pharmacy functions, ensure compliance with aseptic techniques, and workflow and ensure the highest quality standards-centered environment that emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of pharmacy technicians engaged in compounding, medication preparation, and patient service.
• Oversee the preparation of compounded medications, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and quality standards.
• Manage intake processes for medication orders, verifying medical terminology accuracy and ensuring proper documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to sterile compounding, medication safety, and hospital protocols.
• Provide training and mentorship to pharmacy staff on critical care procedures, IV infusion techniques, and medication administration best practices.
• Maintain inventory control of pharmaceuticals and supplies, minimizing waste while ensuring availability of essential medications.
• Foster a culture of patient service excellence by promoting clear communication, attention to detail, and safety awareness among team members.
• Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding
• Lead and train a team of technicians
• Ensure compliance with USP guidelines and regulatory requirements

Experience

• Proven experience as a pharmacy technician or supervisor on compounding.
• Demonstrated expertise in aseptic technique, IV infusion preparation, and medication administration protocols.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to acute care environments.
• Prior experience managing pharmacy operations.
• Familiarity with medication safety standards, regulatory compliance, and documentation procedures.
• Excellent skills with the ability to train staff effectively while maintaining a collaborative team environment.
• Experience working with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support optimal patient outcomes is highly desirable.
