BCBA / Clinical Director (Part-Time to Start)

Location: Illinois
Service Setting: Home- and Community-Based
Start Date: Early February

About the Role

We are a growing startup in Illinois seeking a passionate BCBA to step into a dual role as Clinical Director. This is a part-time position to start, with significant room for growth as our company expands. The right person will play a key role in shaping our clinical vision while also maintaining hands-on clinical work with clients.

This role is ideal for someone who loves both big-picture thinking and direct clinical impact, and who is excited to help build something meaningful from the ground up.

All services are provided in home- and community-based settings, allowing for truly functional, relationship-centered work with children and families.

What You'll Do

As our BCBA / Clinical Director, you will:

  • Provide direct BCBA fieldwork in home and community settings, including assessments, treatment planning, parent collaboration, and supervision
  • Help develop and refine our clinical model, ensuring high-quality, ethical, and compassionate care
  • Support a startup by assisting with hiring, training, and mentoring staff
  • Create and implement mentorship and professional development programs for clinicians
  • Collaborate on marketing and outreach efforts to help grow the practice
  • Uphold clinical excellence while fostering a supportive, growth-oriented team culture

About Our Company

We provide ABA and DIR/Floortime therapy, thoughtfully integrated into a holistic approach that addresses the whole child—not just behavior, but emotional development, relationships, communication, and regulation.

We care deeply about the process, not just the outcomes. Our work is rooted in compassion, respect, and meeting children and families exactly where they are. We focus on goals that truly make a difference in daily life, relationships, and long-term well-being.

This is not a rigid, one-size-fits-all model. We value curiosity, collaboration, and openness to learning from multiple therapeutic frameworks.

Who We're Looking For

The BCBA we hire must:

  • Hold a Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field
  • Have BCBA certification issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
  • Hold the appropriate Illinois state license and be in good standing
  • Be genuinely aligned with a holistic, child-centered approach
  • Be open to learning and integrating other models and therapies, including DIR/Floortime
  • Be deeply passionate, compassionate, and values-driven
  • Be a generous mentor, strong listener, and intuitive clinician
  • Thrive in a startup environment and feel excited to help build systems, culture, and vision

Bonus (not required):

  • Any DIR/Floortime certification or formal training

Why Join Us

  • Meaningful leadership role with real influence over clinical direction
  • Part-time flexibility with opportunity for growth
  • A chance to help shape a company from the ground up
  • A team culture rooted in respect, compassion, and authenticity
  • Work that aligns with your values—not just productivity metrics

If you are a BCBA who believes therapy should be effective, humane, collaborative, and deeply respectful of children and families, we would love to hear from you.
