Role Overview:
As a member of the Technology Services team at Free Market Health, the Senior Integration Engineer will own and lead integration projects from initiation through go-live, serving as the primary technical contact for clients and internal teams. This role demands strong autonomy in managing complex healthcare integrations and close collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams across Free Market Health.

What You'll Do:
- Own end-to-end integration solution delivery with FMH partners, including discovery, architectural alignment, build, testing, deployment, and operational handoff.
- Create and maintain interface documentation and test plans to support knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with PMO, Product, Client Success, Pharmacy Operations, and Security to translate business rules into robust, testable technical specifications.
- Enhance reliability and performance through automation, logging, observability, CI/CD, and post-incident reviews.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOC2, and HITRUST control framework.
- Serve as the technical owner of integration solutions, facilitate testing calls and maintain test plans. Lead project development, deployment, and monitoring efforts.
- Handle escalations and coordinate resources to ensure timely resolution.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills in all client interactions.
- Flexibly align work to client demand.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience delivering complex production integrations in healthcare or similarly regulated domains, with clear ownership from design through go-live.
- Hands-on experience with integration engines (preferably NextGen Mirth Connect) and strong JavaScript skills for transformation logic.
- Working knowledge of interoperability standards and protocols, including FHIR, REST/SOAP, JSON/XML, and other common healthcare exchange patterns.
- Expertise in Azure SQL Server, including stored procedures, database architecture and tuning, query optimization, and performance monitoring.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and authentication/authorization mechanisms.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with external technical teams and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to learn complex business processes and apply technical solutions effectively.
- Mentorship capability, coaching less experienced team members on support, development, and implementation best practices.
