Ground Transportation Supervisor

Chandler & Campbelle Investment Group, in partnership with SP Plus, is seeking a Ground Transportation Supervisor to support daily operations at Palm Beach International Airport (PBI). This position pays $19.50 per hour and follows a Wednesday–Saturday schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Flexibility is required, as the supervisor must be available to cover additional shifts during periods of high flight traffic. The role is essential to maintaining safe, orderly, and customer-focused ground transportation services, and the selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain an airport-issued security badge.

In this position, the Ground Transportation Supervisor oversees the movement and queuing of taxicabs, commercial vehicles, and TNCs throughout assigned airport areas, including holding lots, loading zones, and terminal roadways. The supervisor ensures compliance with airport safety standards and traffic flow regulations while monitoring curbside and pedestrian activity to reduce congestion and maintain a safe environment. Responsibilities also include assisting passengers with boarding, controlling access to restricted areas, verifying decals and transponders, and conducting random compliance checks on driver credentials and documentation.

The supervisor is responsible for enforcing dwell-time regulations, responding to vehicle incidents, documenting lost or unattended items, and inspecting vehicles for cleanliness and regulatory compliance. Additional duties include observing driver conduct, assisting with baggage carts and wheelchairs, and using the AVI system for monitoring and reporting. This role requires strong collaboration with airport personnel and agencies, along with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service to passengers and ground transportation operators.

Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, with a college degree preferred. Prior experience in ground transportation, logistics, or airport operations is highly desirable. Applicants should have strong leadership and communication skills, the ability to remain calm and effective during peak activity, and familiarity with airport technologies such as AVI systems. A clean driving record, the ability to pass all background and drug screenings, and the physical capability to walk and stand for long periods are required. Candidates must also be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
