Job Description:

The Strategic Programs and Install Base Pricing Manager will lead a dynamic team dedicated to representing pricing in pivotal business initiatives as well as overseeing install base pricing strategies. Acting as the primary interface between the pricing function and major business units, this role is instrumental in shaping and influencing strategic decisions to ensure pricing principles are effectively applied across all programs.

Key responsibilities include expanding install base pricing methodologies across Geos to optimise margins for HPE solutions. The manager will collaborate closely with product managers and business unit leaders, driving consistency in offer structures and business model standards. This includes ensuring alignment across capex and as-a-service business models and strategically differentiating offerings to maximise profitability.

The successful candidate will also champion consistency in pricing across various quoting paths, addressing potential arbitrage issues, and work to enhance the functionality and efficiency of CPQ tools as a subject matter expert in pricing. Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a diverse pricing team for strategic initiatives and install base pricing.
  • Influence and implement initiatives to support business objectives and margin optimisation.
  • Drive the expansion of install base pricing methodologies.
  • Partner with product managers and business unit leaders to drive offer and business model standards. 
  • Ensure alignment and strategic differentiation across capex and as a service business models to maximize margins
  • Ensure alignment and strategic differentiation between capex and as-a-service models.
  • Maintain consistency of pricing across quoting paths and resolve arbitrage issues.
  • Enhance CPQ tool functionality and process velocity

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree, or technical/ advanced university degree, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of strategic pricing and/or financial analysis experience is required
  • Previous experience within transformation and /or change management
  • Previous leadership or management experience is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills required
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen.
  • Previous experience with program management is highly preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills to effectively resolve problems.
  • End-to-end pricing and process knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation forms.
  • Ability to measure and manage team performance.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, including goal setting, conflict resolution, performance management, budget planning, problem-solving, evaluation, and employee engagement.

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay.
