About the Role:
Argenta is partnered with a major retail organization seeking a forward-thinking Manager of Logistics Analytics & Sustainability Innovation. This role is designed for a rising leader who blends strong analytical capabilities with a passion for sustainable, tech-enabled logistics.
You will support the transformation of a large-scale retail supply chain by bringing together data insight, automation opportunities, and practical sustainability solutions. This position is ideal for someone who loves solving complex problems, collaborating across functions, and building modern, efficient, and environmentally conscious logistics practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Analytics & Insight Development
- Analyze transportation, distribution, inventory, and last-mile performance to uncover optimization opportunities
- Build and maintain dashboards, models, and data tools that strengthen visibility and decision-making
- Partner with operations and merchandising teams to embed data-driven practices across the network
- Support predictive modeling and scenario analysis for demand, capacity, and sustainability initiatives
Technology & Process Innovation
- Assist in evaluating and integrating new logistics technologies such as automation tools, advanced TMS/WMS features, IoT tracking, or AI-driven optimization
- Work cross-functionally with IT, data science, and supply chain leaders to support digital transformation
- Identify workflow improvements and help deploy scalable process enhancements in distribution and transportation
Sustainable Logistics Support
- Contribute to sustainability roadmap development with a focus on waste reduction, packaging improvements, and carbon-impact visibility
- Help design and track sustainability metrics and assist in enterprise reporting
- Participate in pilots and programs related to circular logistics, energy efficiency, or eco-friendly transportation strategies
Ideal Candidate Background:
You may be a strong fit if you bring:
- Hands-on experience with
logistics or supply chain analytics - Ability to interpret and simplify complex data for operational partners
- Exposure to retail or large-scale distribution environments
- Interest or experience in
sustainability practices
within logistics - Curiosity about emerging technologies and automation
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
- A proactive mindset, very comfortable working in both detailed analysis and big-picture thinking
Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Operations Research, or a directly related field
- Master's degree (MBA, MS in Supply Chain, Analytics, or Engineering)
Experience
- 7–10+ years of direct experience in retail, consumer goods, or large-scale distribution logistics
- Proven track record leading analytics-driven improvements in supply chain or logistics environments
- Hands-on expertise with advanced analytics tools (SQL, Python, Power BI/Tableau, forecasting platforms)
- Demonstrated success implementing logistics technologies such as WMS/TMS upgrades, automation tools, and familiarity with robotics, or AI-enabled optimization
- Experience building or managing sustainability initiatives within logistics or supply chain (carbon reduction, waste minimization, packaging innovation, or circular logistics programs)
