Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant General Manager - Restaurant to lead our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for hospitality. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction across various service formats including quick service, casual dining, and fine dining environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service during all shifts.
- Manage staff recruitment, training, development, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and professional team.
- Oversee food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Handle inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food production to optimize costs and minimize waste.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling, sales tracking, and reporting.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Implement and monitor restaurant policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency in quality.
- Manage budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control measures to achieve operational goals.
- Coordinate catering events, banquets, or special functions as needed to enhance revenue streams.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety standards are upheld across the entire restaurant environment.
- Lead staff training initiatives focusing on food handling, food safety, culinary techniques, and hospitality best practices.
Experience
- Proven management experience in the Fine Dining or Polished Casual
- Extensive background in food service management including kitchen management, food production, and catering operations.
- Experience supervising teams in fast-paced environments such as quick service or casual dining restaurants.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Prior experience with inventory control, budgeting, training & development programs is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to interview, train staff, and develop a cohesive team.
- Experience in fine dining or hotel food service environments is a plus.
