Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista to join our team at our growing market café. As a Barista, you will be the face of our establishment, responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service. Your role will involve not only preparing coffee, other drinks, and food, but also creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries, concerns or questions about the property.
• Operate cash registers efficiently, handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately.
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of food and beverage supplies, reporting shortages as needed.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards in all aspects of food handling and preparation.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Engage with customers to promote sales and enhance their overall experience in the café.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or a café environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and willingness to learn are essential traits for success in this role.

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 20 per week
