Housekeeper, Maid

Motel 6 Wilkes Barre Arena is looking for a Housekeeper / Maid

Please apply in Person @ the Motel located at Exit 168 on I-81 (Highland Park Exit).
Shifts including 9am – 3pm
Experience preferred but willing to train
Weekend / Holidays are a requirement

Essential Duties Include:

· Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, the Housekeeper cleans guest rooms, baths, offices, corridors, public area, and exterior areas.

· Wiping all hard surfaces with disinfection solution, including bed, furnishings, walls, etc.

· Dusting and polishing all wood surfaces.

· Cleaning mirror, lights, inside windows and window sills.

· Cleaning and polishing baseboards.

· Emptying and replacing liner of wastebaskets

· Cleaning all bathroom/rest room fixtures, walls and floors.

· Dusting, mopping, wet mopping vinyl floors and vacuum carpeting.

· Cleaning bathrooms, all fixtures and walls.

· Hotel Laundry Operations – loading and unloading washer & dryers, folding & delivering towels, sheets, pillowcases, and guest room laundry

· Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds

· Must be able to stand / walk for 5 to 8 hours

· Must be available weekends & holidays

· Must be able to pass background check and drug screening

· 30 minutes allowed for lunch, deducted on daily basis (if taken)

· Check work schedule daily, it may change (located adjacent to the time clock)

Job consists of general cleaning of rooms and common area, trash removal, laundry operation, grounds keeping, deep cleaning. Must be dependable and detail oriented.

This role requires a Housekeeper with customer service skills that thrives on the challenges and rewards of serving our valued guests.

Pay: $ $11.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Cleaning: 1 year (Preferred)
