The Spring is a faith-based service provider, shelter, and advocacy organization for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking. We offer a safe home and supportive services that assist survivors and their children on their journey out of abuse.

We are seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Lead Guest Advocate to provide essential leadership and direct support within our crisis shelter. This hybrid role combines shift-lead responsibilities, new hire training, backing up the Advocate role, along with intake responsibilities to ensure high-quality, trauma-informed care for all guests at The Spring.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Support

  • Serve as a shift lead, providing guidance, direction, and problem-solving assistance to ensure smooth operations.
  • Model trauma-informed advocacy and serve as the primary point of contact for training new direct shelter staff hires.
  • Conduct monthly 1:1 check-ins with assigned Advocate Support employees and assist supervisors with team development initiatives.
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation and provide shift coverage as needed.

Guest Services and Advocacy

  • Conduct new guest intakes within 72 hours and assist with client acclimation to the facility.
  • Carry an assigned caseload to provide comprehensive advocacy, case management, safety planning, and referrals.
  • Lead weekly guest activities/groups and ensure accurate documentation of guest records in compliance with OAG standards.
  • Proactively monitor and maintain inventory levels of guest-facing supplies.

Program and Operations

  • Provide support for day-to-day operations and fill in for team members as needed.
  • Assist management with planning shelter-specific events and maintaining guest related inventory responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or 3 years of equivalent related experience required.
  • Experience: One year of experience in social services preferred.
  • Requirements: Must be able to sign The Spring's Statement of Faith and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Skills: Strong commitment to client confidentiality and ethical standards, excellent organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, and the ability to handle multiple demands in a challenging environment.

The Spring is committed to providing a benefits package that strives to meet the needs of its employees and their dependents. Employees receive medical, dental, and vision, 401(k), paid time off, and holidays.

The Spring is proud to be an equal opportunity employer
